Engineering evaluation method for dented pipeline

摘要:

提出了用三次样条插值计算管道凹陷轴向和环向轮廓曲线的方法,用此方法可以根据凹陷检测数据计算管道应变,采用基于应变的准则评价管道凹陷。研究表明,在应变小于9%时,计算结果与有限元数值结果吻合较好,可以满足工程评定要求。根据计算结果,建议在利用管道变形检测数据计算应变时,管道凹陷的计算长度取1/2凹陷深度对应的长度。对不同深度管道凹陷的评价结果表明,只考虑深度的评价是不合适的,应结合基于应变和基于深度的两种标准评价管道凹陷。

Abstract:

A cubic spline interpolating technique for approximating the dented pipeline profiles in both longitudinal and circumferential directions was proposed. This method can be used to determine the strains of pipeline with inspection data of dent. The pipeline dent was evaluated by using strain-based criteria. The results obtained from the cubic spline interpolation method are in good agreement with those of the finite analyses when the strain of pipeline was less than 9%. The new method can meet the requirement of engineering evaluation. According to calculation result, the length corresponding to half of dent depth should be taken as calculation length of dent, while calculating strain of pipeline based on the pipeline inspection data. The evaluation results of pipeline dents with different depths suggested that the pipeline dent evaluation should be based on both strain criteria and depth criteria.
