Analysis of diagenetic shading oil reservoir in Xia 9 wellblock of Jungger Basin

Abstract:The distribution of oil and water in Xia 9 wellblock of Jugger Basin was characterized by oil existing in lower parts and water existing in higher parts of the structures,where there were no shadings on the up-dip of nose-like upper bend.The comprehensive research on the distribution of oil and water,diagenism,3D variations of reservoir properties,structural styles and evolution showed that the diagenetic shading was the key factor to control the distribution of oil and water in Xia 9 wellblock of Jugger Basin.The oil reservoir in Xia 9 wellblock has the properties of subtle oil reservoirs.The intensity of diagenetic shading controlled oil-gas accumulation and the scale of accumulation,while the physical conditions of reservoir controlled the intensity of diagenetic shading.The accumulation scale had a negative correlation to the physical condition of reservoir.As the physical condition got better,the accumulation scale became smaller or finally disappeared.
