A new approach to estimation of porosity and saturation with seismic data

摘要: 应用Gassmann方程,计算分析了孔隙度和饱和度与纵波速度、横波速度、介质密度和纵、横波速度比值的关系。结果表明,波速度、介质密度对孔隙度的变化较为敏感,速度比值对饱和度的变化较为敏感。对联合利用纵波速度(或纵波波阻抗)与纵、横波速度比值计算孔隙度和饱和度方法的稳定性分析结果表明,此方法是较稳定的,其精度受油气物性的影响。论述了利用地震资料估算孔隙度和饱和度的方法和步骤。

Abstract: Porosity and saturation estimation were carried out with seismic data.The relations of P-wave velocity,S-wave velocity,media density and velocity ratio of P-wave to S-wave with porosity and saturation were calculated by using Gassmann equation.The analysis result shows that velocity and density can sensitively reflect the change of porosity,and the velocity ratio can sensitively reflect the change of saturation.The stability of the method for calculating porosity and saturation by utilizing P-wave velocity (or P-wave impedance) and velocity ratio was analyzed.The results show that the method is stable.The physical parameters of oil and gas have some effects on the accuracy of calculation.The methodology and steps to estimate porosity and saturation using seismic data are presented.
