Abstract: The mud flow at the surface of PDC drilling bits is simulated numerically.The governingequations of power law non-Newtonian fluid are derived in curvilinear coordinates on the bitsurface and solved numerically by the SIMPLE scheme. The numerical prediction method ofreal fluid flow iS useful for practical design in oil drilling industry.

摘要: 用数值方法解非牛顿流体流动的控制方程来研究PDC钻头表面的泥浆流动,以81/2“钻头为实例计算了钻头表面的流场和压强分布,计算结果和实际情况基本符合.其方法对PDC钻头的布齿设计有实用价值.
