泵用机械密封端面摩擦的研究

Abstract: Friction coefficients of mechanical face seal for a pump were determined by carboncar-bide seal rings.Friction states were determined by bearing characteristic coefficient.Test re-sults show that the characteristic coefficient is in hydrodynamic lubrication state when it isbigger than a certain value,The characteristic coefficient is in a boundary friction state whileit is smaller than a certain value,Friction coefficients range form 0.04 to 0.07 and are not af-fected by contact pressure.Friction coefficient and heat generation in seal surface are alsosmall and leakage are the minimum in boundary friction state.

摘要: 以泵用机械密封的摩擦副材料石墨-硬质合金来测定摩擦系数;引用了轴承特性系数来划分摩擦状态,试验表明,当该特性系数大于某一定值时,为流体动力润滑;小于某一定值时为边界摩擦状态,此时摩擦系数不随端面比压变化,稳定在0.04~0.07的范围内,这时摩擦系数小、发热量小,同时泄漏量也最小.
