Abstract: A new method for polycrystalline diamond compact(PDC)bit selection was presented.The rock mechanics parameters of a formation which are assessed from electric logging data were integrated into a numeric value to indicate the drillability of the formation.According to this value as well as the compressive strength and the angle of internal friction having great effect on the performance of a PDC bit,an appropriate PDC bit type can be selected on the basis of history records of PDC bits.Field test proved that the PDC bit chosen by this method was suitable for the encountered formations.This method is simple and easy in operation.

摘要: 采用综合方法,把由常规测井资料评价出来的地层岩石力学诸参数综合成一个值,作为评判待钻地层可钻性的标准。在此基础上,综合考虑了对PDC钻头应用效果影响较大的抗压强度和岩石内摩擦角这2个岩石力学参数,并结合研究区块PDC钻头使用记录,优选出适合待钻地层的PDC钻头型号。现场试验证明,该方法简单易行,应用效果良好。
