Abstract: The flow of fluid in stratified reservoir, in which adjacent permeable layers of the reservoirs are in communication with their semipervious interlayer, involves crossflow between layers. A theoretical study has been made of the unsteady state of flow of slightly compressible fluid during depletion of bounded stratified reservior of arbitrary shape. Analytical expressions have been derived for average pressure and for leaky fluxes through impervious interlayer.
