Abstract: This article gives out a method for the screening of the application of horizontal well in a non-thermally developed sand stone reservoir,General screening frame and detailed screen frame are established accordingly including:1)Types of the candidate reservoir with first priority for horizontal drilling.2)Parameter limits of candidate reservoir. 3)The features of the reservoir to be developed with vertical wells.4)Economic evaluation and fundamental formalas.
