Abstract: This paper deals with the stratigraphy and paleontology of Tertiary in Pearl River outh Basin briefly and correlate with that of areas in the vicinity,It is recognised that henhu formation in PRMB can be correlated to the Kongdian formation in Bohai GulfArea,Shashi formation in Jianghan Basin,and ChangLiu formation in Beibu Gulf Basin.Wenchang formation and lower Enping formation are equivalent to Liushagang formation inBeibu Gulf Basin,Zhuhai formatiom is correlative with Lingshui formation inYinggehai-Qiongdongnan Basin,and to Wuzhishan formation in Taiwan.

摘要： 本文扼要地介绍了珠江口盆地第三纪地层、古生物及其与邻区的对比关系.本区神狐组可与渤海湾盆地孔店组、湖北江汉盆地沙市组及北部湾盆地长流组对比,文昌组和恩平组下部可与北部湾盆地流沙港组进行对比,珠海组可与莺歌海—琼东南盆地陵水组、台湾五指山层对比.
