Seismic sequence architecture and evolution characteristics of the Cambrian-Ordovician strata in Lunnan-Fuman platform margin of Tarim Basin

塔里木盆地轮南—富满台缘带寒武系—奥陶系地震层序结构及演化特征

Abstract: In the Lunnan-Fuman platform margin of Tarim Basin, the frequent periodic migration of reef-shoal complexes, unclear sequence stratigraphic architecture and complex depositional modes are key factors restricting oil and gas exploration. Based on high-precision three-dimensional seismic data, combined with well logging or mud logging data from completed wells, this study investigates the sequence stratigraphic architecture and sedimentary patterns of the Cambrian-Ordovician platform margins in Lunnan-Fuman area. The aim is to delineate the sedimentary architecture, depositional evolution, and source-reservoir-caprock spatial configuration of the superimposed and migratory platform margins, thereby supporting the optimization of target zones for oil and gas exploration. The results indicate that the Lunnan-Fuman platform margin experienced five stages of regression and six stages of transgression during the Cambrian-Ordovician period. A total of 8 second-order sequences and 16 third-order sequences were developed in the Cambrian-Ordovician strata. Based on sequence stratigraphic analysis coupled with sea-level changes, five depositional modes were identified along the Lunnan-Fuman platform margin in the Cambrian-Ordovician strata, reflecting the sedimentary evolution process from platform formation, expansion and contraction to platform submergence. These findings provide a sedimentological basis for determining the distribution of reservoir-caprock assemblages and favorable exploration areas in the Lunnan-Fuman platform margin. The sub-salt platform marginal belt in the west and the sub-mudstone platform marginal belt in the east are favorable zones for the exploration of mound and shoal complexes in Lunnan-Fuman area.

摘要: 塔里木盆地轮南—富满台缘带礁滩体迁移期次频繁、层序结构不明确、沉积模式复杂,成为制约该地区油气勘探的重要原因。为了厘定叠置迁移型台缘带的沉积构型、沉积演化与源-储-盖空间配置,支撑油气勘探领域的区带优选,笔者基于高精度三维地震资料,结合完钻井的测井/录井数据,开展轮南—富满地区寒武系—奥陶系台地边缘层序结构与沉积模式研究。研究结果表明:轮南—富满台缘带在寒武纪—奥陶纪共经历了5期海退和6期海泛,寒武系—奥陶系共发育8个二级层序,16个三级层序;在层序认识的基础上,结合分析海平面的变化,轮南—富满台缘带寒武系—奥陶系共发育5种沉积模式,反映了台地形成、台地扩张、台地收缩至台地淹没的沉积演化过程。研究成果可以为确定轮南—富满台缘带储-盖组合的分布及有利勘探领域提供沉积学依据。轮南—富满台缘带西部的膏下台缘带与东部的泥下台缘带为丘滩体勘探的有利区带。
