Quantitative characterization of development degree of fractures in fault system by fractal dimension

摘要: 根据分形几何学的重要参数-分形维数可以反映复杂分形体空间分布的特征,将红柳地区构造层断层系作为一个平面集来进行分形维数的研究。按照研究区不同构造层系断裂带的特点,将该区分为垦东断层区、垦利断层区和垦东6断层区3个子区域,并分别对T6、T2和T1这3个时期的构造层断层系进行分形维数的计算。研究结果表明,断层系分形维数在一定程度上可以反映断裂的发育程度,可以作为断裂系统研究的一种辅助手段。

Abstract: The fractal dimension is an important fractal geology parameter for describing the characters of fractal space distribution of a complex dimension body. The fault system of structural horizon in Hongliu area was taken as a plane set to be studied with the fractal dimension. According to the fracture characters of the different structural horizons, the studied area was divided into three sub regions including Kendong fault block, Kenli fault block and Kendong 6 fault block. The fractal dimensions of fault systems in the structural horizons during three periods of T6, T2 and T1 in each area were calculated. The researched result shows that the fractal dimension of the fault system can indicate the development degree of fractures to a certain extent and can be used to study fracture system being as an assistant method.
