Abstract: Qaidam Basin is located in the north of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.It is one of the seven petroliferous inland basins in China.There are four big hydrocarbon-bearing systems of Carboniferous,Jurassic,Tertiary and Quaternary in the basin.The north edge,the west and central areas are the big prospective regions for oil exploration.The oil and gas reserves are up to 4200 million tons of oil equivalent in Qaidam Basin.The hydrocarbon accumulation was controlled by source rock,structure superposition and qualities of reservoirs.Qaidam Basin will have great potential and broad prospect for exploration because of its low degree of exploration at present.According to the factors controlling the oil and gas reservoirs in different areas,the southern part of west area,the edge of northwest to the front of Altun mountain and the north edge to Lenghu No.3 area may be the key prospective areas for exploring clastic rock oil reservoirs,and the north of western area may be the key area for exploring unconventional oil reservoirs.The Tertiary of the west and the central area as well as the deep of the north edge will become the new areas for the exploration of natural gas.

摘要： 柴达木盆地位于青藏高原北部,是中国7个大型内陆含油气盆地之一.发育有石炭系、侏罗系、第三系和第四系4个大含油气系统,形成了北缘、西部和中部3个勘探领域,共有油气资源量42×10⁸t(油当量),油气聚集受烃源岩、构造叠加及储集层性质的控制.该盆地勘探程度较低,具有较大的勘探潜力和广阔的勘探前景,是中国最有油气勘探潜力的盆地之一.根据盆地内不同地区的油气藏控制因素,盆地的西部南区、西北缘的阿尔金山前、北缘的冷湖三号等地区是碎屑岩油藏勘探的重要领域,西部北区是非常规储层油藏的重点勘探区,中部、西部第三系和北缘深层是天然气新的勘探领域.
